About Me
Shaping a City That Works for Everyone
Meet Aranee
Aranee has lived in Markham for 27 years. She grew up in Ward 7, attending Middlefield Collegiate Institute. She played in the parks, walked the same streets, and watched her neighbourhood grow. Today, she’s raising her two children with her husband Neethan in the same City that shaped her.
For more than ten years, Aranee has worked in Toronto’s tech sector, leading People & Culture and Operations at fast-growing companies. She’s known for building strong teams, improving workplace culture, and helping organizations grow the right way.
Outside of work, Aranee has spent years giving back. She’s supported local shelters, hospitals, and helped past candidates in their efforts to serve the community. Recently, she spoke at City Council to call for fairness and transparency in the Ward 7 by-election process.
She holds a degree in Political Science with a focus on civic engagement and public policy. She also completed the Pink Attitude Women of Colour Leadership Program. Her approach to leadership is rooted in listening, collaboration, and service.
